Chocolate is Great: Crazy Simple Choco-Desserts for Lazy Days

Everyone loves chocolate. It is one of the most popular treats out there and is pretty versatile. There are countless recipes that use chocolate, but some can be quite a chore. Do not fret about this. The following are four things you can do with chocolate that will not take too long.

Mexican Chocolate to Warm Up

One way to consume a healthy dose of chocolate is by making hot, Mexican chocolate. This task can be easily done. You will need the following ingredients to make this recipe.

  • Four tablespoons of organic sucanat or coconut sugar
  • Three tablespoons of cocoa
  • Half a teaspoon of ground cinnamon
  • Two and one-third cups of milk
  • Half a teaspoon of vanilla extract

Mix all the ingredients together, except for the milk. Add the blended ingredients into a saucepan over medium heat as you gradually add the milk. Continue to mix until it gets hot but before it boils. Remove the saucepan from fire and whisk your chocolate until frothy. Now, you can enjoy your drink.

Chocolate-Stuffed Treat

This next recipe may seem a bit odd but combining chocolate and French toast is wonderful. What you are going to be doing is making regular old French toast, except this time you are going to be adding something like gourmet chocolate bars from to the breakfast treat. You need the following few ingredients.


  • two slices of bread
  • favorite French toast batter
  • chocolate bars
  • optional powdered sugar

You want to start by frying your French toast slices like you normally would. The difference is you are going to place half of the chocolate bar on top of one of your fried slices before removing it from the heat. Then, top the bar with another fried slice. Let the chocolate melt just a little before removing the chocolate French toast sandwich. Some people like to top it off with a little extra powdered sugar, but the sandwich should be sweet enough.

A Sweet and Puff Tart

Sometimes, all you want to do is have a s’more, but doing all that prep work feels like too much work. Thankfully, there is a way to have a s’more tart that will not take too much out of you. You probably already have all the ingredients you are going to need to make this small dessert. You will need the following:

  • Three cups of crushed graham crackers
  • Six tablespoons of melted butter
  • One and three-fourths of your chocolate bars
  • Enough marshmallows

Okay, now blend the graham crackers and butter, and press the blend into the bottom of a regular tart pan. Heat up your oven to 375 degrees while you place your chocolate bars on top of the graham cracker mix. Let this bake for just seven minutes. Take the pan out and sprinkle enough marshmallows to cover the top of the pan and broil for a few minutes. Take out your tart when the marshmallows look puffed and slightly brown.

You see how it easy it is to get a little creative with the chocolate bars or the powder you have at home. There is no need to go crazy with your recipe book when you want to relax, yet you can still have an interesting dessert.
